Clear Smooth Skin With Honey Face Mask

webmasterSeptember 21, 2013
Do you like homemade masks? Of course you do – they are harmless,  quite affordable (compared to the expensive cosmetic products, which in most cases do not even worth you money) and pretty efficient. Perhaps their only disadvantage is that if we want to achieve some result, we have to be really persistent. A fresh, natural  mask is a great way to make the most of your food odds and maintain the skin of your face (and not only) young, clean and smooth. So take a look at our suggestions.

 For many  years honey has been used for different cosmetic purposes, since it works as a healing balm for the skin. But did you know that honey contains antioxidants that give a fresh, rejuvenated look to your face and eliminate the signs of stress? With its great content of minerals, vitamins and amino acids, honey tones and nourishes the skin. It is a well known fact that the ancient civilizations had used it because of its antiseptic properties. Here are some great face masks with honey.

Honey mask with cucumbers for dry skin

What you need?
1. 1 cucumber – peeled and cut into small pieces;
2. 2 tablespoons of honey;

Preparation:
1. Use a blender to smash the cucumber cubes.
2. Strain the cucumber paste and collect the drops in a jar or some similar container which can be well-closed.
3. Add the honey.
4. Close the container and put it in the fridge. (Be aware, though, that if it stays there for more than a week, it will lose its vitamins)

How to use it?
With a cotton swab, soaked in the honey solution, gently massage your face and neck in the mornings and in the evenings. Leave it for 3-4 minutes and then rinse it.

Honey mask with cinnamon for problem skin

What do you need?
1. 1 tablespoon of honey;
2. Half a teaspoon of cinnamon;

Preparation:
Just take the two components and mix them well.

How to use it?
Carefully wash your face before applying the mask. Massage your face and neck with it and let it sit for a few minutes (it may sting a little bit). Then rinse. It is good to use some hydrating facial cream.

Honey mask with lemon juice

What do you need?
1. 1 tablespoon of honey;
2. half a cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice;

Preparation:
Again, all you need to do is mix the two components well.

How to use it?
Apply the mixture on your face and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse and apply a moisturizing cream or some lotion.

Refreshing face mask with honey (great for the exhausting, summer heats)

What do you need?
1. 1 teaspoon of honey;
2. egg whites – 1 or 2;
3. half a cup of lemon  juice;

Preparation:
Beat the egg whites, then add the lemon juice and the honey.

How to use it?
Once or twice a week (perhaps the most suitable time for such beautifying procedures will be during the weekend) apply the mask on your face and let it sit for a while (ten minutes will be enough). Then rinse.
